My name is Zane and I currently work at Secon Freight Logistics.
I have been involved in transport and logistics since a young age through my family’s waste management business based in Shepparton, Victoria. I was interested in working for Secon because they specialise in wharf cartage as well as Customs, AQIS and Bonded warehousing. I had virtually no experience or knowledge of any of these areas and am fortunate enough to be able to broaden my knowledge and continually learn with Secon.
I have been working within the warehousing division since November 2013.This experience has taught me a lot about the day-to-day operations of a warehouse facility that I had previously never been exposed to.
I believe the VTA cadetship is a fantastic program for people that want to gain experience in the industry and study at the same time. I have learnt a lot in my very short time with both Secon and the VTA and look forward to continuing to expand my knowledge base, as well as meet new people within the industry.
