I’m Meg, a Cadet at Simon National Carriers.
Simon National Carriers is a family owned company that provide specialised interstate transport services and offers customers a diverse range of capabilities in warehousing, project logistics and dedicated fleet in all areas of Australia and New Zealand.
My experience so far in the VTA Cadetship is one I won’t forget, it has taken me out of my comfort zone and shown me that I am capable of working full-time while studying.
When I first started at Simon’s, I was out of my depth but I have only ever been made to feel welcome and a part of the team. Currently I am learning administration and warehousing while later in the program I will have the opportunity to experience operations amongst other areas which I’m thrilled about.
Once a month I attend Victoria University for a week to gain my Diploma of Logistics which takes two years to complete. Victoria University’s Logistic course is a foundation to understanding the transport industry.
I would definitely recommend the VTA Cadetship to anyone like myself who needs to work full-time whilst having a structured learning plan.
