Membership

The membership of the VWMA continues to grow. Your participation will strengthen our representation and improve our ability to represent the industry and influence the various laws, regulations fees & charges that are continually imposed on industry.

This website and E-News bulletins provide continual and timely information to keep members abreast of any changes within industry.

Membership of the Association is open to businesses and local government who operate within the industry in Victoria, including waste transporters, receiving sites and waste treaters. Associate membership is also available to businesses & individuals who work with or provide service(s) to the waste sector.

Through our contact with Victorian Government Agencies such as the EPA, WorkSafe, VicRoads, and Sustainability Victoria, the VWMA is able to provide you a platform to voice your concerns, input into policy and to participate in network activities. We regularly invite Government to speak at meetings and functions on topics of interest to members.

We also maintain professional and respectful relations with the Transport Workers Union and deal with them on many issues of common concern.

The Victorian Waste Management Association (VWMA) is the key division of the Victorian Transport Association representing the waste and recycling sectors. We are a member based, not for profit association that aims to be to be the leading association for recycling and waste management in Victoria.

The VWMA works to promote best practice and the highest industry standards through providing Member services and advice on industrial relations,occupational health and safety issues and environmental regulations.

The VWMA represents its members and advocates and lobbies on their behalf on issues and policies affecting them by developing professional relationships with the relevant Government agencies, the wider waste industry and the public
