Correct Procedure for taking soil samples at Landfills

The VWMA has received advice from Sita about the correct procedure for taking soil samples when transporting to Sita's sites:

The advice is:

Drivers are required to collect samples of the waste from their load upon arrival at Taylors Road Landfill. The weighbridge is configured in such a way that climbing onto the truck is not necessary to access the waste.
It is a condition of entry to the site that drivers must also have their own controls to manage working at height risks. This rule is enforced and drivers seen climbing onto the back of their vehicles without controls are subject receiving conduct warnings or being banned from the site.
