EPA Seminar on Fees & Charges
The EPA will be explaining their proposals to the way they levy fees and charges under the new Environment Protection (fees) Regulations at a special VWMA briefing on Monday 30th April at the VTA (information on changes can be found HERE).
Any member who pays EPA fees or charges is urged to attend this meeting and make a submission on the proposed changes. Comments are required two weeks after the briefing on the 30th April.

UK Study Tour of Waste
The VWMA and its NSW and Queensland counterparts (Waste Contractors and Recyclers Association) are planning a waste tour of the UK during the first 2 weeks of September 2012. Numbers will be limited to no more than 30 and anyone interested is advised to contact the VWMA asap and register your interest.
The program will include visiting a waste show, touring some waste facilities in Birmigham and London, meetings with some environment bureaucrats as well as having a few refreshing ales at a number of UK hosteleries after a hard day's work.
